The Long Bench

A collective of independent sponsors.

Independent sponsors. A long bench.

Each of us runs our own company. When you back one of us, you get the experience of all of us.

What it is

Independent sponsors who choose to work together.

We trust each other, and we help each other. We share deal flow, investor relationships, and operating expertise. We help each other close deals and run them.

Each member runs his own independent sponsor company, with its own deals and its own books. The Long Bench is what we stand under when we work together. It is not a separate business, and it does not hold anyone’s capital.

How we work together

Three ways we show up for each other.

  1. 01

    On the call

A member joins another's investor or diligence conversations to add operating depth in his area of expertise. One more person in the room who has done the work.

  2. 02

    In the business

After close, a member takes on a defined project inside another member's portfolio company. A clear scope, a clear owner, and real hands on the problem.

  3. 03

    On the deal

Two members co-sponsor a transaction together. Shared work, shared judgment, and one clear point of contact for the seller and the capital.

Each member is an independent sponsor.
